Raspberry Pi 4:
I can do whatever I want (turn speakers or squeezelite on and off) and
the active speakers with their build in DAC will be recognized by the
Pi.
I also have a setup with it where I power the speakers on and off with
sequeezelite (see the post "'[piCoreP

So basically I cannot turn them off and on again and listen with
piCorePlayer without restarting it.

I encounter the exact issue on a raspberry pi zero with picoreplayer and
an external dac.
On a pi 4 it is not a problem.
But on a pi zero the usb dac "output setting" options in picoreplayer
dissapear and do not reappear after dis- and reconnecting the external
