You shouldn't need to start LMS via your desktop shortcut. LMS is
running already as shown in the status message in your screenshot (and
as the "Abort scan" button indicates, it was scanning your library for
new and changed files).
You have chosen the startup option "Automatically run at login"
Have you tried what the red writing proposed to do?
Im not familiar with LMS under Windows BTW but that sounds promising.
