HELP!!!
I upgrades to the new official 7.9.0 from version Logitech Media Server
Version: 7.9.0 - 1469851679 .
It totally destroyed soundquality. It now sounds harsch and compressed.
No life in the music.
Going back to my previous release does not fix the problem so

It is not only that. The soundquality has decreased. Sounds harsch and
compressed. It seems that the settings is the same Weird

Installing latest 7.9.1 rescan and restarting players seems to solved
have the problem. I think I stay here. A scary experience

What bitrate is being reported for tracks when they're playing? And what
are your source files?

What effect does that have? Does it get louder or less loud? Wouldn't
replay gain usually reduce volume?

I see we are both ReadyNas Ultra II users (and Danes?).

Depends on which track is playing, but yes, it usually gets louder.
LMS 7.9 on a Raspberry Pi 3/piCorePlayer 3.10, playlists and LMS cache
on a USB stick, 25K+ music libr
Other than replaygain, I'm not aware of any sound processing being
carried out by LMS, it just ships the data to the player, so unless
there's something rather custom about your install i cant see how an LMS
upgrade can change anything, sq wise.

Perhaps you had accidentally turned on the "bitrate limiting" in LMS

The Spotify protocoll hanlder and Triodes old plugin have two settings
that could influence sound quality .
*Stream quality a range from 96k to 320k
*Volume Normalisation , set this on or off ,but it uses some unknow
algorithm in libspotify SQ may be better without it .

What do you mean "TV sound played through the transporter"...? Sounds
like some thing got changed in the transporter DAC.

As I said. I was playing music while it was scanning after the upgrade,
and suddenly the sound got distorted. It was on ALL players. Both my
