Well, thanks Kev, it seems you were right. The volume increase only affected players which were linked to Spotify Connect. Removing the link seems to have cured the problem and as I don't use Connect too much then it won't be too much of a hardship to do without. Are you running the latest

My prefs file is showing volume values of 76 for a number of players. Amending and saving does not help the problem, neither does deleting the file and letting LMS recreate one. I am reluctant to have to do this but wonder if a compete reinstall is the only solution? Steve
