Can someone lead me through how to install Media Server on my Synology
DS918+ NAS?
As I'm a simpleton I'd need a step by step guide please?
This is assuming it's possible of course because there is nothing in the
Synology Package Centre that can do it.

Dear all, I have LMS on Synology 415+, has worked like a charm for a lot
of versions now.
Yesterday I installed the SoundCloud plugin and restarted, launched a
rescanned whilst at it since I added a few tracks.
But now the scan doesn't end anymore...
Here is the server version:

Maybe I get rid of the full text search see what that does?
Fulltext Search is a plugin you can disable.
Problems indexing sometimes are due to lack of memory. How much RAM does
your machine have? And do you use a lot of apps on that NAS?

I have 2GB of RAM and it's used 60%

So, really strange...
I tried without the full text search plugin and scan completed easily.
Then re-run with full text search active and server never restarted, mem
usage was 60%
killed the process, retried, same thing
rebooted, still server unavailable
reinstalled with LogitechMediaServer-x86_6

Hi, I wonder if you can help me. I have been happily running LMS
8.1.1-1610364020 (pinkdot) on my Synology DS214play under DSM
6.2.4-25556 Update 3. I avoided the Pearl update so it continued to
work.
Unfortunately after I added a new plugin, ShairTunes2 (fork), it crashed
and would not restart.

Given the number of current threads concerning Synology NAS would it be
an idea to post a sticky post outlining the current situation and user
options - Pi, Docker etc?
PS Apart from you is there anyone else who can sticky a post?
