Last week i did the update to LMS 8.0.0 on my Synology DS418play.
Since then, trying to use airplay ends with the errow message:
"connection reset by remote host".
I first thought that the setting "max version" would cause the problem,
but it is set to "*" in my ShairTunes2 version.
Anyone here

On Raspbian root ssh is disabled
To slartibartfast
IMPORTANT Assuming that your Raspbian setup is vanilla
Use WinSCP to navigate to the Plugin folder in question
IMPORTANT Make a note of correct owner & group by right clicking on
Bite the bullet and do it as "root".

MichaelI tried editing install.xml for BBCiPlayer extras on my Pi4 running
Raspbian and didn't have permission to do it. I can edit other
install.xml files for other plugins and other files in the BCiPlayer
plugin folder. A few other files in that folder are also inaccessible
but I have no idea

Since 'upgrading' to LMS 8.0, three of the plugins I use are disabled as
they are reported to be incompatible, and need an update; BBC iPlayer
Extras, ShairTunes2 & DSDPlayer.
bpa and philippe44 are aware of the issue and will certainly provide
updates shortly. Until then follow Paul's advice.
You can try editing the install.xml for each one while you wait for an
official update

I can't see a way of updating these plugins, so is it a case of waiting
for the developers?
Thanks
