In addition if you have a group with players setup with volume sync, then you can press vol+/- on the fixed player, this one won't budge but the others change volume. I find that quite useful. (And most my SB3s are set w/ fixed volume and IR blaster to rotate the amp button when I press on vol+/-.

I actually think other people uses this as a feature . They use the Denon controll plugin or ir-blaster plugin etc . To send the volume commads to the amplifier even if the source squeezebox itself is fixed volume ? Main hifi
