The LMS Good & Bad log were the wrong log setting - it look like you
logged network.slimproto when it should be player.source.

Have you installed codec libraries in 20.04 ? package - I think
ubuntu-restricted-extras might have them
Try a new squeezelite plugin from here - I think they are built with all
libraries built in.

After a quick look at player into. I'll review others later but I think
this is main fault.
The player looks old and libraries are broken so it can't play Mp3.
Version can be found by using command line option. "-?"
General point - only one "-d" is needed - the additional "-d all=debug"

Attached You'll find a longer part of the Server log for the Bad
LocalPlayer as well as the Screenshots of the File Types WebUI. The
latest unsuccessful try was around 20:04, the former unsuccessful try
was around 19:02 and the Good try was 18.55 in the Log.

I managed to narrow the problem down further. Indeed the behaviour is
the same if i now use Ubuntu LTS 14.04 with Squeezboxserver 7.9.3.x
or with Ubuntu LTS 20.04 with the latest Version 8.0.1.x
