Are you still seeing this? And are you seeing this on a regular basis?
Because I can't reliably reproduce it. I tried with various playlists,
but it took me several attempts to even see the issue. And then, as you
said, next time results would be fine

It's not limited to iPeng. Just saw it using SqueezePlay, too. Don't
know what's going on there. Will have to investigate.

GUI as well as i wonder if iPeng is cashing some information?

When I browse Moods / Relax / TIDAL RELAX I initially get 26 songs
listed, but when I browse this again it reports 88 songs. This is the
same for other Moods playlists. The native PC App always reports 88
tracks for this playlist.
