But then I'll go your way and try to install lms V8 now on my synology with the latest perl version, and see how it goes with my radios. LMS on Synology is dead (unless you can run Docker). There's no need to up- or downgrade. After the Perl update they released none of the available packages

I already checked that site, it only has V8 lms, that require a patch of squeezebox radios... that requires a V7.x lms in order to apply the patch... So I still miss a V7.x lms package.. First of all: an older package won't help. If Synology has updated Perl, then oh well, that was it. Old pack
