Hi
trying to set a splash page that popup once a day for the clients here is my
conf:
external_acl_type splash_page concurrency=100 ttl=10 %SRC
/usr/lib/squid3/ext_session_acl -a -T 60 -b /home/e987654654/sessions.db
acl existing_users external splash_page
http_access deny !existing_users
deny_in
yes.
I found the error just now...
I saw here on this forum the answer.
I need to add the splash.html on the template folder
(/usr/share/squid/errors/template)
And on the squid.conf file just did deny_info 511:splash.html existing_users
Now it worked!

Hello guys...
I need to make on my squid the following.
When the user put its login and password it redirects the user to a default
page (lets say www.example.com)
And then after that the user can browse normally.
Some people told me i need to make a splash page, is that right ?
how do i do that
Hi
I removed the -a flag from the external_acl_type line but it still
refused to create a session.db so the acl failed.
after scratching around, I found that limiting it to ipv4 made
everything work perfectly.
the new config line reads
external_acl_type splash_page ipv4 ttl=5 concurrency=1
