I have configured squid proxy server with winbind enable option. winbind
runs properly with squid and i get all the results specified in the squid
FAQ. like, pop up window asking password from browsers and entries in
access.log with the names of users.
But i cannot use any messenger services
can anybody tell me that if user hit the squid then it is automatically
dial. In that time i m dialing manually ..

and another with global ip. I want people from other then LAN to use our

Check that is Squid running. If not, start it.
If it refuses to start, see cache.log and the output of "squid -k
parse". If nothing is found there see the output of "squid -Dd1".
