Is there anyone out there that has or knows of some one who has modified
the squid redirector to send the username as an output variable ?
the current format is
url ipaddr/fqdn ident method.
if the ident was replaced with username say, then i could use this in my

I was trying to use LFUDA replacement policy. Following is what I gave in my
squid.conf file
cache_replacement_policy LFUDA
memory_replacement_policy LFUDA
But, squid errors out. Message I see in my /var/log/messages file is
(squid): ERROR: Unknown policy LFUDA
I even tried
cache_replacem
I have configured that one using dansguardian patch, which you can download
sophos, f-secure, whatever.. just go to dansguardian website for more

It does if you use a supported Squid release..
Squid-2.5 does read /etc/hosts (or another hosts file specified in
squid.conf if you prefer).
