Configuring Squid with options --with-aio-threads=N say 32 or higher will it
make any difference?

Twice in the last two days my Squid (2.5.STABLE2-20030509) died at about midnight, it
appears that a restart was attempted, but it failed. I have a cron job scheduled to

That'll only work if the URL (domain) is unique to an IP address. iptables
will allow redirection of an IP addr

squid to successfully use samba 3's ntlm_auth with the squid-2.5-ntlmssp
helper protocol, squid must be able to read from the winbindd
priveledged pipe in samba's LOCKDIR. Don't set it world readable.
