has anybody successfully intergrated content scanning (anti virus) and squid? i'm
getting uphill from our AV guys about no content scanning at our proxy before data
arrives at the desktops. i know of MS products floating about that do this, but i'd
hate to deploy an MS product
I need to get my hands on a NEW squid 2.5ST1 conf file, not edited by
anyone!
Any help?

i've set request_body_max_size 1 KB to deny uploading of files from our
company.. this works fine
but this includes also the admin/boss workstations.. how can i bypass
their workstations???

It did'nt work (I guess because the page returned to apache is not php

I have some mac OSX clients using a squid as transparent proxy and
browsing works fine, however I have a problem downloading the max OSX
updates. As soon as it tries to download them, I get an error.
Has anybody ever met with this problem

There is a way to use the trend micro product in front of the squid. Its not elegant,
but it does solve one or two problems.
things to note:
1) if you chain the devices, you will break your ability to use delay pools ( nice for
QOS, ask Raymond C ;)

Is that a typo, or are you really running a 2.3 release?
If you really meant 2.3, then you should upgrade to 2.5 - there are
countless bug fixes, one of which may address your problem (you can
check the ChangeLog to see).

scan engine in front of Squid?
I have tried the Symantec Scan Engine, but somehow it does not work very
well with Squid 2.5S4 Icap... :(
