Well, I got the squid in high cpu usage and it wasnt responding. I sent it
kill -BUS signal, it made coredump, the rest is below? Did I do something
wrong or?

Did you edit sarg.conf file to set the squid log filer & output dir?
you need to set two variables in sarg.conf file:
access_log /usr/local/squid/logs/access.log
output_dir /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/squid-reports
Then, run sarg.

then it should probably something as in :
visible_hostname mail1

The easiest way to check is to look at access.log and the 4th column.
If it says TCP_MISS/200 then it means Squid is getting the file directly.
if it says TCP_HIT/200 or TCP_IMS_HIT/304

I have a squid 2.5 running on a RHEL v3.0, it's running
correctly except than sometimes it seems to be hanged, writing
TCP/MISS 504 error messages in the squid logs file. Then a few minutes
later it's running correctly again without I do anything !
Any idea ?
