Thanks for your reply but I tried to remove the security restictions regarding activeX from the IE but still the same. I even tried from differnt PCs and different OS behind the squid. Something that I didn't told that on the same PC I am running the linux firewall could it be the problem?

Thanks a lot for these tips. They helped understanding where the problem was comming from. It's Apache's mod_cache fault. A temporary workaround is totally disabling mod_cache, by comenting the corresponding line on: /etc/httpd/conf.d/55_mod_cache.conf IfDefine HAVE_CACHE IfModule
