upgrade to the latest 2.6-stable snapshot. I believe that bug has been fixed
and Squid-2.6stable2 won't suffer from it.

Although I have adjusted my config accordingly I cannot get Squid to listen
on my external interface. The config seems ok (e.g. squid -k parse returns
no errors) Do you have any idea??

But how it would be left the sentence? in the case of user and password I
use this: (squid.conf)
auth_param basic program /etc/squid/sqauth.sh
authenticate_ttl15 minutes
(and the sqauth.sh makes the control of user and password on mysql)
