Hi
I am using squid 2.6 on Solaris 10 1106 and i want to make it transparent
when i add the following lines it gives error while restarting squid ie,
/etc/init.d/cswsquid stop
/etc/init.d/cswsquid start
Error on lines
httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
Just add the two ifdefs at the end of that struct, ie:
#if FD_CONFIG
int max_filedesc;
#endif
#ifdef HS_FEAT_ICAP
IcapConfig icapcfg;
#endif

Your config is for Squid 2.5.
Squid 2.6 has some change for the setting of accelerator.
You may need to read the up to date documents on wiki.squid-cache.org

Hello everybody,
I've been looking a pair of days for a solution to this problem, so Im writting
here.
We're working with Squid 2.5 on a debian. We have the ntlm and the basic
methods to identify users.
When a user tries to access to a page with its certificate, he can, but appears
a logon
I fixed it
I commented out the basic auto stuff and it worked. Does it attempt to
perform whatever comes first in squid.conf?
The difference between my working proxy and this one that wasn't working
is that squid.conf had the NTLM helper listed before the BASIC one.

Anyone have any recommendations for RTSP proxying when using squid.
We're forcing all traffic through the squids with policies, but
currently have to create proxy exceptions and then specific firewall
rules for the TCP8080, TCP7070, TCP554 traffic.
Thanks

Hi all,
am I asking too much of Squid to try and get it to redirect to
another proxy depending on the url AND the port?
See the following directives in squid.conf.default:
acl myport
or
acl port
acl dstdomain
cache_peer_access
Using a combination of those

Hi All,
I have a basic question on squid proxy in the transparent mode. Do I need to
have the tproxy patch to the kernel for this to work?
Cheers,

Hello,
I'm having problems with squid doing ident lookups on a terminal server with
16 thin clients attached to that.
Basically everything works fine, but on rush hour everything stalls a
little. I was first using pidentd which would die under the high load. Now
I'm using oidentd, but that

No.
The tproxy kernel patch allows the proxy to more fully masquerade as the
proxied client by sending out the
Hi,
Our accelerator pool is storing alot of objects and is continuing to
grow. We originally have 4GB and had to upgrade to 6GB to prevent
swapping. I think it'll be a matter of time before we have to
upgrade the RAM again.
At the moment, we're running debian 64, but w/ 32bit
squid.
Hello everyone:
I'm newbie using squid and I have my first question in this forum...
I'm trying to authenticate my users and groups against OpenLDAP...

I have three groups and their users are:

- supervisors

Hello,
since upgrading to Squid 2.5.STABLE7 (from STABLE5), I randomly receive
unexpected state in AuthenticateNTLMFixErrorHeader error messages as
stated below. I use the NTLM helper from Samba for doing authentication.
Any idea on what might be causing that?
Thanks

Most browsers is a bit dumb and does just that...

we should use different logging codes for the authentication procedure rather
than just TCP_DENIED. Opinion was positive; but I haven't any time to get it
done.

I would say go for 64-bit, with no doubt about it. Yes, it's
