Hi mates!!
I have a machine with two squid servers and a dansguardian in the middle
of them... I do this way because I wanted to enable delay_pools... ok
and have installed squid debian for doing delay_pools and caching and
squid 2.5 compiled for feeding dansguardian and it does not cache...

Do some profiling to find out whether you're lacking CPU or IO grunt.
I started optimising the Squid-2 codebase to remove a lot of the CPU
hogs but its a big job and noone seemed willing to sponsor any work.
Try out the Squid-2-HEAD codetree and see

Hi,all:
Our squid box's performance is not very good(4 reqs/min), cpu
load is very high, and the traffic can't great bigger than
100MBits/s.(Gbits/s network).
We use aufs scheme now.We have a test for coss, and the result is
not very good also(cpu overload also).

I am using Squid for one purpose only, to force PC's with generic
Windows logins to authenticate using AD credentials when accessing the
Internet. I have Squid configured and it's working fine, except the
access.log of course logs all website hits (which we also have Websense

for
ACLs.
Ill give squidgard a tr

Issues like what? We can't fix things if noon
Hello All,
I've done some googling and searching of the mailing lists and I wanna
see what direction I should go to make Squid pre-fetch the img, link,
and javascript elements and then push them to the server on the other
side of a satellite connection. I would have expected it to be a more
commo

delay_access 2 allow users_abuseband
delay_access 2 allow otheracl
delay_access 2 allow
I have an issue where I need to allow an external user to view a website
via the public IP and not a hostname since this is a development website
and there is no external DNS record out there for it.
The IP of my squid box is 172.16.0.10 and I have a separate network
connection setup on the squid
Hi,
one of our customers has asked about getting some information about the
amount of surfing users are doing. Problem is that most users are using
terminal servers to do their surfing, so all I get at the moment is the
IP addresses of the multiple terminal servers. Users are authenticated
