We been running Squid Proxy 3.0 for 1 year now and there were some issues
wherein some of our clients PC need to be allowed to download *.EXE files
from specific site (e.g. autodesk.com website). Since we already BLOCKED
files including downloading EXE files from our squid config, is

Are you sure he is on Debian? chkconfig is not a standard binary on
Debian and is mostly used on Redhat

Firstly, thanks for your very thorough testing! Your results mirror our
experience - in one instance I did see the page load complete after some 5
minutes or more when going through proxy. Our server OS is Ubuntu 6.06LTS
32bit, kernel 2.6.15-26.

what is wrong with mime types where i dont have anything deny them. My acl is
src for comps and dstdomains, why then its prob with mime types ?
