Thanks,
Eric

I am trying to use a log parser that uses regular expression and
wondered what kind of log entried would indicate a security issue? I get
plenty of log entries for regular traffic, but would like to weed out
the normal type of entries to make my life a little easier :)

I've setup squid 3.0 to do reverse proxying for Exchange OWA/SSL. I'd
like to setup some simple authentication that requires a username and
password to be allowed in to proxy into toward the exchange server. Is

database. The

Thanks Henrik!
I was wondering about the ICP, it was in the standard ACL's but the port
number was different in the conf file.

You don't want ICP in a reverse proxy. In fact I would recommend you to
distable icp entirely (see icp_port
Now that I have my squid accelerator working, I need to tighten down my
ACL's. I am allowing SSL traffic in for the reverse proxying of OWA. I
am not offering any other proxying services. Any comments or
suggestions on improving/securing this would be appreciated. Here are

Is there a problem with running Squid 3.0 and Apach 2.0 at the same
time? When I startup Apache, squid seems to shutdown sometimes without
me knowing.

You seem to be right there.. not good.
That version is a very early beta release and not at all suitable for
production use, at least not according to the Squid developers

Okay, hopefully this is less of a nightmare for people to read. I am
trying to get Squid to "reverese proxy" for my Exchange 2000 OWA
interface. I understand there are many configuration options, but these
seem to be the most relivant to the Accelerator mode I am looking for.

I've read through the past posts and haven't been able to pull together
