would like to config the squid in a way, that it caches the file and
serves it from memory. Is this possible?

find the acl QUERY that matches cgi-bin and ?. just before this acl,
add the acl to allow caching of the file.

it did not help. Every access to pixel.gif is reported as TCP_MISS.

Does someone know, how to get this working? Or is the combination of a
reverse proxy and the use of other caches in a hierarchy not possible?
