Hi all,
I have Squid 2.5.STABLE3 with Winbind (samba 2.2.8a). Ntlm authentication is
working fine in all Win98, W2k and XP workstations and servers.
Last week I installed a new Windows 2003 server and when I try to enter any
site, a "Page could not be displayed" page appears with DNS error.

Hi,
Squid is authenticating fine, but today I had a problem with my Domain
Controler and nobody could browse the internet, because squid is set up to
authenticate with my PDC. My question: Is there a way to have a second
Domain Controler, a backup domain controler, in case the primary is offline
ny questions, but could you tell me what files I
have to edit on /etc/pam.d/? Why? The man pages of winbindd tells me to
update /etc/pam.d/*...
Thank you very much,
regards Joao

Hi all,
I'm using Squid 2.5 stable 3, samba 2.8a. Ntlm auth is working fine, but
when people try to listen any Windows Media Audio(streaming), a Login,
password and domain Popup comes up.
Below is part of my squid.conf. Members of NT Domain Group "SquidCache"

Grab 10 minutes of data from access.log

And here is what cache.log says:

Ok. Not much for 200 users, but it is better to read the 5 min average
counter (I assume the above is from the general runtime information.. this
page shows average since start and if your Squid has been running for long

Hi Henrik,

Quite likely.
The strange thing is that Squid is restarting but the PID is the same. Since
yesterday, squid restarted a lot of times but the PID kept the same. And
nobody complained, or had any problems.
How many requests/second do yo
Henrik,
Thanks for your reply.
If you have more than lets say 5 users concurrnetly browsing the Internet
with NTLM authentication then you may want to increase this
significantly, as told in the error.
Do you think this is causing Squid to restart?
I will have about 200 people under this Proxy. Tod
Hi all,
I installed Squid 2.5 stable 3 (--enable-auth="ntlm,basic"

Everything seems to work fin
