Dears,
I noticed that squid is not caching anything! it is always requesting web
pages from it's parent cache.
as mentioned earlier, it is logged in the access.log as:
1058770020.531 6820 x.x.x.x TCP_MISS/200 18198 GET http://www.apple.com/ -
DEFAULT_PARENT/my.parent.cache text/html
any hints

Hi guys,
I'm back again with some questions on my squid 2.5S6. In my squid.conf I
have configured a parent cache as following:
cache_peer my.parent.cache parent 8080 3130 no-query default
According to my access.log, all my logged requests are TCP_MISS/200 just
like this:
1058401272.538 5285 19

Hi guys,
When trying the following from the localhost:
./squidclient -p 8080 http://www.netscape.com
I get the error:
client: ERROR: Cannot connect to localhost:8080: Connection refused
in my squid.conf I have modified:
http_port 8080
cache_dir ufs /usr/local/squid/cache 1024 16 256
acl localh
Hi guys,
whenever I start squid, and type: ps -A|grep squid I get two processes of
squid!, I just to make sure this is normal! is it?.
Thanks
