mask.
If the number of cache-engines is low, one could think on having a mask
of just 1 or 2 bits for instance, so that the processing time at the
router is minimized.
What do you think?
Thanks.

Hi Amos.
Could you please be more specific?
I cannot find any wccp-related directive in Squid named IIRC or similar.
Yes, it can be set in the router, but, according to the WCCP Internet Draft:
It is the responsibility of the Service Group’s designated web-cache to

Hi Amos.
When you say it is the same flags .
Do you mean the same flags hash assignment uses?
Thanks.

Hi.
I'm trying to configure my squid as a WCCPv2 cache engine, according to
the following requirements:
- Assignment method: Mask assignment
- Mask based on source ip (for one service group)
- Mask based on destination ip (for another service group)
The problem is I do not know how to specify
Hi, I noticed a similar problem to this was posted recently - but could not
see any resolution.
Squid can be running fine for days, but then will crash up to 20 times in a
couple of hours. It seems to be during periods of heavy use.
Here is the error I get:

Hi
I am facing a strange problem and need some advice to overcome this.
While accessing the following URL

connection is not getting established if and only if I set page scanning
enabled, which internally sets
the icap server.

Would anyone please like to help me on the following issue?
I have accessed http://kb.com/kbp/index.html and then trying to play the

If I am not trying through proxy server, where squid (STABLE 11) is running,
video is getting played fine.
However while I am trying
Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody has seen this type of message before:

If so, could you shed some light on what the problem is and possibly a way
to sort it out? I have
Hi,
I have a Squid 2.5 stable 11 proxy forwarding traffic to an upstream proxy
based on domain. This works fine for HTTP traffic, but HTTPS traffic is
flowing directly from the downstream proxy to the internet.
Would anyone give me any pointers as to an access list or other strategy I

Hi Mark,
The forward proxy _is_ reachable when I take out the 'never_direct' line and
replace it with the original 'cache_peer_access' directive.

Hi
the same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how we could avoid this memory
fragmentation problem?
Thanks in advance!

Hi
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I currently have the cache_mem directive set to 16 mb,
so I
don't think that this setting would be the cause of the problem.
