Trying to figure out on to how to ask winbind to make it's pipe with
another group like winbind_priv... winbind makes it root:wheel by
default.

Thanks, Amos, for your reply.
I was just complaining about giving to squid user access to privileged
group wheel in freebsd.

I have the opposite opinion with experience of using c-icap on

It was about 4-5 month later, squid sometimes lose connection to

Personaly I used sarg and lightsquid. Prefer Lightsquid, just like it :)
I found strange solution:
stop squidwindbind
rm -rf /var/db/samba/winbindd_privileged
start winbind
chown :squid /var/db/samba/winbindd_privileged
And problem disappeared.

Are you using amd64 ?
I had a lot of trouble with squid3 + FreeBSD7 amd64.
I was using squid 2.7 + dg + FreeSBD i386 and the server had a amazing
performance.
Then I switched to squid3 and fbsd7 amd64 and things became way worst.
I'm currently planning to downgrade to the previous solution as
Hello,
Is there a new x-forwarded-for patch to be used on squid3 ?
I've searching a lot but without success.
In my opinion such a good feature must be added to the squid base
code. It's really helpful especially if you're using a content filter
such as DansGuardian.
