since the faq specs are from 98, it seems a little
outdated. So I am unsure if this is alright. Would

NICs(will also be running a firewall on the same box

Some of them are not technically proficiant with
linux, and therefore might not know how to read the
logs. Is there some type of gui or webbased tool that

Hello,
I have been trying to figure out the best
authentification to use with DG and squid. Here is the
scenrio. My boss wants NTLM authentification, with
different policies for different users. Like one for
teacher(for all access), and one for student (with

My company has a client that is insterested in a proxy
server, and has us a few questions. But I am a bit
confused on a definitive answer.
The questions are:
Does it track the hours that users are on the

Does it create a log at the end of that mo
Ok, I am kinda at my wits end on this. My boss seems
to want to have ntlm authentification with groups, and

Is there a way to make a group that is allowed
internet access and everyone else is disallowed?
I would like to create a group on our client nt/2000
servers, just for internet access, but block all who
are not in that group.
I have squid and nt authentification working right
now, but it doesnt b
