Show us what appears in the access log as well, both for the first load
(gibberish) and the reload (good text).

Hi,
I'm running Squid version 3.5.23 with caching disabled.
Sometimes when accessing various websites (the sites that cause this problem
are always the same, such as www.tomshardware.com for example) the page
doesn't load correctly until after a page refresh, after which it shows
without error.

Thank you for your response, Eliezer.
I added the logformat command that you suggested. I needed to modify it
slightly, since I'm running squid 3.1 (I changed eui). An example of what I am seeing in /var/log/squid/access.log is:

Hey Cindy,
I do not have too much experience with MediaWIKI but I ran some test on
it in the past for both caching and other things.
I am using this logformat to detect couple things that are related to
caching:
logformat cache_headers %ts.%03tu %6tr %>a %Ss/%03>Hs %%Sh/%h"
I am using Squid for caching with Apache and MediaWiki over HTTPS only.
Unfortunately, no pages are being cached; each request is being sent from
Squid to Apache. I would appreciate help figuring out how to get caching to
work.
My configuration is as follows:
- Squid is configured to listen
I have a problem. It seems that objects are getting swapped out very
quickly. Below is an example of 2 requests for the same page within

seconds, and should be cached. The second request shows that it wasn't
found in the

Then your clients are not accessing your Squid. Almost cetainly a broken
client, but could also be a networking error.
Make sure the client is configured to use the proxy.
