i try to reinstall squid and i have this error
/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -z
FATAL: Failed to make swap directory /usr/local/squid/var/cache/00: (13)
Permission denied
Squid Cache (Version 2.5.STABLE7): Terminated abnormally.
ls -la
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 oct
hello,
It seems that you didnt set the permissions correctly i,e please set the
cache_effective_user squid and give this user permissions of cache directory and logs
directory!
chown squid:squid /usr/local/squid/var/*

Are you trying to execute squid -z as squid user?
