I just did an upgrade of my proxy from 2.5stable1 to 2.5stable9 8running
under solaris 9), and samba 3.0.5
and now the authentication of group is not working anymore.
Tha auth with the domain is fine, but the usage of external wbinfo_group.pl
is not any clue why ?

My group authentication don't work, i think it's because my
wbinfo_group.pl d'ont work, i tried to use wbinfo -r zef to testing
but it's don't work :
PROXYGENTOO ~ # wbinfo -t
checking the trust secret via RPC calls succeeded
PROXYGENTOO ~ # wbinfo -u
CHSMRDZTEST\zef
CHSMRDZTEST\Administr
I'm in the same kind of situation, but I think you have to enter the domain
name with group, not just the group name.
otherwise try to debug the wbinfo_group.pl, in the first few line it said
remove for debuging, all output go into the cache.log, so you will have
some info about your problem.

if the domain of your user is mydomain, then try the folowing command:
wbinfo -r mydomain\\zef
don't forget the 2 backslash otherwise wbinfo will remove one and it will
fail.

Well its look like this version of samba need the domain\group to works
fine.
So I just have to chaneg my ACl to reflect the group with the domain.
and voila !!

wbinfo_group.pl only looks into the first group specified.
It is supposed to look into all the specified groups like the other group
