after having started with a clean cache on February, 14th
my cache-folder has meanwhile increased to a size of
68 GB, which makes 96 % of the available space on that
partition.
I am using squid as an accelerating proxy. All cached
objects should expire after 24 hours at the latest.

What value do you have for cache_dir? This should help set how big your
cache should grow.
