I have a problem on using squid guard in my proxy server (squid 2.6).
Let me go straight to my question:
I have installed squid 2.6 stable 6.4 in CentOS 5 using yum and installed
squidguard using dag repository.

version is same. I also couldn't make squidguard work with squid 2.6 and
gave up. Now i m using Dansguardian for web content filtering. ...I
guess there is some compatibility issues with squidguard and squid

If this is true, then for this moment maybe I will try Dansguardian with
squid first and I wish they will come out solutions soon in the future (I
believe they will).

Usually this is caused by permission problems where your
cache_effective_user do not have access to all the files needed by
SquidGuard.
