Aargh!!! I have set the request_timeout to 30 seconds and the connect_timeout to 2 minutes.
Got the same error message again, here it is. Also got a report that my users have gotten these errors this morning. The URL in the error appears to be random. Here's mine. "ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved -------------------------------------------- While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/index.php?s= The following error was encountered: * Connection Failed The system returned: (101) Network is unreachable The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again. Your cache administrator is root. -------------------------------------------- Generated Mon, 14 Jun 2004 15:35:16 GMT by proxy.internal.nw (Squid/2.4.STABLE7)" The clients reporting the error are Windows XP Professional using IE 6, and mine is Windows 98 with IE 6. The squid server is Linux 2.4.18 (Mandrake MNF) with Intel Xeon processor and 512 MB of RAM. Any ideas?
