I have gotten the error using php4.2.3. I tried php4.3.0rc2 and the error
went away. I have also previously had a problem with php4.2.3 with ftp. I
am guessing that squirrelmail uses the php ftp functions and I beleive
that either my installation of php4.2.3 had ftp bug or the release has

My guess would be that he's got a /ton/ of mail in one or another of his
mailboxes. To get around this, you can try a couple things.
1. Turn on server-side sorting in conf.pl. This may or may not solve the
problem.
2. Bump up the amount of memory available to PHP in php.ini. This /will/

Sorry for the long delay, but the attached (new) version of
vlogin now includes the functionality you asked for. You need
to set up a separate file that contains one line for every user
who you want to change settings for. So it might be easiest
for you if you make your default IMAP
Following up on this older thread... the attached new version of
vlogin should address this functionality (using sendmail-style
virtual user mapping when logging in to SM)

This isn't a SM question. It entirely depends on the underlying
technology and might very well be different between your two hosting
services. You need to determine if each of them uses maildirs or
mailboxes -- the former will place all of your email into a directory,
each mail in its own file...

won't work. Try to cd to /usr/share/squirrelmail/config and do a
