[SM-USERS] error opening attachements under PHP 4.0.6-7

I received a response earlier this month that I am unable to open attachments due to PHP 4.0.6-7. My question is; should I upgrade to PHP 4.1.2-0 or should I downgrade to PHP 3.0.18?   Now whether or not the response I got is true, it’s the only sane response as to why I am unable to open my attachments anymore. If you can shed some light on this i'd appreciate it. Thanks  AD
