Greetings: I am running SquirrelMail 1.4.3a on RedHat 9.0 with Apache 2.0.47 and php 4.2.3. My users report that when using SquirrelMail to send emails with attachments, the attachments grow in size, typically doubling in size. An attached text file becomes a double-copy of the original. Binary files become corrupted and unusable. This is observed with small (~20 kB) and large attachments (~ 2 MB) alike on a variety of email client/operating sytsem platforms.
I have found some listings whereby users viewing attachments with Squirrelmail had similar trouble that was corrected by adding the get_uuencode plugin. I was able to install that puglin but that hasn't fixed the 'sending attachment' trouble. For what its worth, SquirrelMail 1.2.10 performed no differently. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
