Could it maybe be made modular then as part of the ./configure? You could specify which program is your auto responder, and have it pass the text in that box to the program. The autoresponder program would then have to right the text out however appropriate, whether for qmail, courier, sendmail,

Outlook and Netscape do not reside on the server, they would have to connect to the server to find mesages and then respond. I have found that now that I have had autoresponses availible to our users that they find it upsetting now that they are unavailble. Most often they are used as "Vacation"
