Be careful with this.
Just because this takes you to the login page by SSL, that doesn't mean that
all the following pages (which, by default, are in frames) are also SSL.
If you really want to guarantee SSL, then (1) load it on an SSL-enabled
server and (2) compile with --enable-https
Read the INSTALL file. It details how to do this.

about the ssl part, just use sqwebmail on a server where ssl is installed.
I am using apache, and I can access plain sqwebmail with
http://mail/cgi-bin/sqwebmail, and the secure way through
https://mail/cgi-bin/sqwebmail.

I am not familiar with sendmail, I *think* you can use both procmail and
maildrop with sendmail which are capable of delivering your mail to
Maildirs.
