failure_route is a bit of an abstraction in that it is triggered by a variety
of conditions -- including that one.
You can test for this condition with t_branch_timeout() and t_branch_replied()

I think I have not yet understood how jsonrpc needs to be configured. In
kamcli I can issue the cmd "ul show" and I get a valid reply. When I
print "domain list" I get
error:
