I'm still unsure about the forwarding the INVITE, having looked around
the web for some tips on it I didn't really find much (or with my
current level of understanding I wasn't able to draw anything useful

they are able to call each other. The issue
is, with presence enabled, they are unable to IM each other (or add
each other as contacts and see online status).
