Hi Listers,
This Saturday, May 19, I will be steaming on a temporary track at
the Ridge Road Station "Train Races". If you are in the vicinity of
Rochester or Buffalo, NY please join me for some water boiling from 10am
to 5pm. Look for me under the travel trailer awning in the corner of

Trent,
I found the diesel roster, but could not find a steam one earlier today. I
hope there is one out there somewhere. So far our collection has five STEAM
engine bells and one EMD diesel bell.
Keep your steam up!

Hello Walt and Mr. Lunk,
I had to search for a couple of minutes but found this link to the Wabash RR
Historical Society in my bookmarks. I didn't see where they had a steam roster
but they have a diesel roster. Maybe someone with the page can help.

Does anyone know of a site on the net that would have a roster of Wabash RR
steam locomotives? Specifically, we want to find if there was a locomotive
numbered 1244.
Keep your steam up!
Walt
Hi,
After getting steam up, we found that opening the alcohol valve about 22.5
degrees allowed my Mike to pull 8 to 10 cars without popping the safety and
with the bypass closed.

I capped off the rear wick (of three) in my Aster Pannier and have had
essentially the same experience.
Cheers,

Victor:
I'd like to hear what you added for a water gauge to the tender.

I recall someone mentioning that they had completely blocked off one of the
wicks on their Mike to control the over-eager fire.

I was off the list for a number of months, so what I'm writing may have been
covered already. If so, sorry for the repetition.
Everybody remarks on how strong a steamer the Aster Mikado is. I decided
that's certainly true after having run it all winter at temperatures from
about 25 to 55 degrees
