As one of your pix shows, a factor in planning these trips is the proximity
of a station car park to enable a water bowser to be brought up.

I have found Gary Raymond prototypical wheel flanges tend to climb rails and
cause derailments. I prefer the standard flange wheels and the best are his
ball bearing wheelsets.
