Are there no farmers amongst this group?
Frost heave is easily seen every spring. The rocks get pushed out of the
ground and must be removed to prevent damage to equipment.
Its also noted that bigger rocks, laterally, come up quicker than smaller
rocks!

Group,
I have researched the couplers that have been brought up. I contacted the
company that makes them and gave them our use requirements. I have obtained
the part numbers for their recommendations and am getting pricing and
availability info in the morning. I'll post that when I receive i
Bert,
Those coupler would work to install a gas line into the on board fuel tank
then? That would certainly make things easier here. I am working on adding
a line to the onboard fuel tank so I can use the fuel regulator for propane.
I will have the propane tank run thru its regulator and then
Now if someone would locate a source for them and pass it
alongOR...order in some and sell them off to the rest of us. I'd like
to find one to replace the cap on the filler on the Shay! Then the bunker
pump could disappear and there would be room in the tank for the RC gear!

Thanks Bruce...I appreciate the honesty. I'm always looking for little
things to tweak a loco. But don't need it unless I get a two cylinder.
Which is not a bad reason to buy one mind you!
Andre'
Bruce,
I'll assume the Spitinator will also work on the 3 cylinder Shay?
If so please email me more info please!!

but the issue is paint not power!
The paint was brushed on and was so thick I easily scraped much of it off
with a dull hobby knife! Then much sanding to remove the remainder. As

OK...how about this.
Has anyone used the original gas regulator with propane? Either via the
onboard tank and another regulator to drop the propane tank pressure or
bypassing the onboard tank completely?

Gentlemen,
The "hungry" effect occurs not with distilled water but with deionized
water. It draws the removed ions from the metals it comes in contact with
and can cause serious damages over a long term.

Sam,
You could always build an appropriate body for the works of an NG loco?
I'm afraid you've never seen my work Sam. To make that attempt would be a
waste of good raw materials! hehehe
I have an Accucraft 3 piston Shay and love it but there is that beckoning of
a British loco that I keep hear
I'd love to have just one, OK more than one but I'd settle for

appeals to me.
HOWEVER, the price was barely attainable for me before the exchange rate
went into the bin! Now its just a pipe dream. Where the balance betwe
