Hi Chuck, you might want to try safety wire which is stainless and comes in several gauges. I bought a spool years ago from Brookstone however McMaster-Carr or some other outfit should carry. This is the wire I used to use securing drilled nuts and bolts on engines..Earle - Original

Can't say whether it's annealed or not. It is soft enough to be quite malleable but is very strong in tension and of course resists corrosion. I've really tied it up in knots wiring bolts and it puts up with a lot before finally breaking. Makes a good hose clamp as wellEarle - Original

Thanks for the response! Your setup would be great for my Forney as I could mount a charging plug under the bunker and avoid having to remove it to swap batteries (on the Forney you must unscrew the bunker mounting screws and carefully remove it to avoid scratching the paint!). Thanks! Hi Earle

be inclined to believe that your just not getting enough heat to the boiler, either from a clogged jet or as has been suggested low gas tank pressure especially if you are using straight Butane (heck-I don't event think that pure Butane will even work below 45 degreesF). Just my $.02 worth.Earle
