Hot! Sacramento is hot? Well not all the year but it sure could be in July/August. Fact is that the hotel will be air conditioned, the RR Museum is air conditioned, your rental cars are air conditioned. Life is good. If you want to go to the Western Railway museum in Rio Vista, it will be warm.

C-16 Live Steam

I was privileged to have a peek today at an engineering prototype of the new Accucraft C-16 in live steam. I can't say much about it but you should be able to see that it is an incredible engine and the price is going to be lower than you might expect. With luck, it might be seen at Diamondhead.
