Which one? The GMT group in Manchester which used a high track voltage
(110v I think) to heat electic elements in model live steam locos, or
the 1:1 Swiss? example of a steam loco which had a pantograph on its cab
roof and drew power from the overhead?

Say, you know there was that place where they put electric heaters in the
boiler to make the steam... =D
J/K... How are you guys hooking the 12V up to the track? One lead to each
rail, or one lead to ground with the other to both rails? I suspect it's
the latter...

YIKES!
Careful there Geoff. Some one is bound to go too far and suggest that there
might be a way to actually power model trains from track voltage! While
Arthur, your idea is excellant. Beats the heck out of poison or gunshot. (I
live in a suburb, my .303 is a tad too much)

Gentleman Arthur,
Is there any other way to test a 9v battery other than with the tip of yer
tongue? I learn something every day!
I do have an electric wire around the pond which works but your idea of
voltage on the track is excellent!

Gentlemen,
All you high class engineers can't see the trees because of the
forest. Rodents? I got rid of rodents, a coral snake, 3 toads, one
cat, a possum, and a peeing dog. Those were the only ones that I had
time to see. How you do it? Easy. Just connect a 12VAC 1 amp
transformer to t
