Hi Gary, I agree. Co- incidently, we also have been having another look at powdered metal process,s for our own applications very recently. Problem is that we need much high densities, tighter grain structure etc than a G1engine drive wheelse

Regarding powered metal wheels. I talked with Gary Raymond a few years ago about producing a real looking ribbed back wheel that would be low cost. Lionel used a powered wheel on their "G" scale GP 20 that was produced some years ago. That particular metal was very tough. I found out as I tried t
