I don't know off hand if it's stainless or not, but the rods that the model
RC planes use to control the flaps, etc. from the servos might work. Should be
cheap enough, and probably easily obtained. Just a thought.

Detail Associates (used by HO modellers) carries SS wire in different
gauges. I bought mine at the "Train Shop" in Santa Clara,CA.
