Hmmm.
According to the OpenLDAP Adminstrator's Guide, that involves changes to the
master LDAP server, and shutting it down for replication. That's never going to
happen.
So to return to my original question -

I'm trying to "daisy-chain" some sssd installations. I've got a core server
that authenticates against the corporate LDAP server. That works nicely.
I've got another bunch of servers
